St. Rocco also known as St. Roch (c. 1295-1327), was a nobleman from Montpellier, France, the only son of the wealthy governor of the city. He is the patron saint of dogs and those who are falsely accused. (Which most dogs are!)
His feast day is August 16th and is known as the Birthday of All Dogs in many countries.
